Honoring Our Heroes: Veterans Day 2025 at Hogan

At Hogan, we are proud to recognize the men and women who have served our country—and those whose loved ones have worn the uniform with courage and honor. Each year, we pause to reflect on the sacrifices made in service to our nation and celebrate the stories of strength, resilience, and community that continue to inspire us all.

This year’s Veterans Day Lookbook features personal stories from members of the Hogan family across the country, highlighting both veterans and family members who have been deeply impacted by military service. These stories remind us that dedication, teamwork, and perseverance—the same values that drive our success at Hogan—are also the foundation of what it means to serve.

Service, Sacrifice, and Finding Purpose Beyond the Uniform

Among those we’re proud to feature is Ricardo Flores, a former U.S. Marine Corps Corporal who served both at home and overseas, including time stationed in Japan. After being honorably discharged in 2019, Ricardo began a journey to find belonging beyond military life—a journey that led him to Hogan in 2024. He describes his time here as “a renewed sense of purpose and community,” saying the people and the work have been “the cherry on top” of his post-service career.

Rose Sadowski, an Air Force veteran and team member at Hogan’s Punta Gorda, Florida office, shares how her five years of service as an Air Transportation Specialist took her around the world—from Guam to Japan, Alaska, and Africa. Rose’s humanitarian missions, including helping deliver fresh water and supplies to Oahu, Hawai‘i, taught her the lasting impact of service and teamwork. “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities given to me by serving,” she says, “and for the sense of community it continues to bring into my life.”

For Abigail Heynen, Veterans Day is personal. While she is not a veteran herself, Abigail shared the story of her brother, Benjamin Heynen, who proudly served more than ten years in the U.S. military and completed two tours in Iraq. Benjamin passed away unexpectedly in September 2025, and Abigail submitted his photo and story to honor his life and legacy. “He was deeply dedicated to his service and to the people he served alongside,” she says. “Though he’s gone, his strength and spirit live on in the hearts of all who knew him.”

A Lasting Legacy of Service

These stories—and many others in our Veterans Day Lookbook—capture the heart of what service truly means: commitment, courage, and compassion in action. Whether on the front lines or here at home, the values of our veterans and their families continue to strengthen the Hogan community and inspire us all to live with purpose.

To every veteran and military family member—thank you. Your sacrifices and dedication remind us every day that freedom, integrity, and teamwork are worth protecting.
