Celebrating Stanley: 40 Years of Going the Extra Mile

Meet Stanley L. – a trucking veteran with four decades of experience, a laid-back personality, and a heart for helping others. Stanley began his trucking journey in 1985 and has been driving ever since. He joined Hogan in April 2010, and from day one, he’s gone above and beyond in every way.

Stanley is the true definition of a team player. His manager, Stephanie S., says, “Stanley never hesitates to help with anything we ask of him. Whether supporting other accounts or guiding fellow drivers, he truly bleeds Hogan blue.” One customer even praised Stanley for stepping in to reposition trailers when others declined. Always the first to lend a hand, Stanley not only embodies a customer-first mindset but also maintains an outstanding safety record, demonstrating his commitment to doing the job right every time.

Stanley’s love for trucking began in the military and never faded. He enjoys traveling, meeting people, and values his relationships – especially with his mom and the team at Hogan. Known for his easygoing nature and humor, Stanley’s advice is simple:

“Communicate, take life easy, and keep an open mind.” His favorite moments on the road aren’t about destinations – they’re about the people: “I’ve had the best memories just chatting with other drivers and messing with the management staff.”

Outside of work, Stanley enjoys playing cards, collecting vintage soda memorabilia, and listening to classics from the ‘60s and ‘70s. He loves spending time in Florida or the Tennessee mountains, and if he had the chance, he’d return to Germany for a visit.
