HOGAN HISTORY

Now in our third generation, the Hogan family remains committed to its rock-solid foundation of providing exceptional service, innovative solutions and unparalleled customer satisfaction. We’re proud of our heritage and pleased to share it with you.

In 1918, Joseph Hogan started a small, local cartage business to serve the needs of St. Louis’ business community.  He was one man with one truck.  Joseph’s customers were well served and word quickly spread that Hogan was a company to depend upon – a committed, loyal business partner to those it served.

Over the next 30 years, Joseph’s dedication and quality service paid off and Hogan’s fleet steadily grew.  His son, Carl, joined the family business in the late 1940’s and led the company’s growth for the next four decades.   During that time, Hogan’s service expanded to meet their clients’ growing transportation needs.  The U.S. interstate highway system evolved, making trucking a viable, economical mode of shipping. And new clients - responding to positive, word-of-mouth referrals – partnered with Hogan to ensure the safe, reliable delivery of their products. Under Carl’s leadership, Hogan grew from a small, local cartage company to a full-service, national transportation provider.

Carl’s passion and commitment to driving was not limited to the ever-expanding fleet of Hogan trucks. He also loved Indy car racing. For many years, Hogan Racing sponsored the likes of Johnny Rutherford, Bobby Rahal, Dario Franchetti and Helio Castroneves. In partnership with Bobby Rahal, Hogan Racing won the 1992 Indy Car Championship.  Within racing circles, this association is legendary and synonymous with winning.

During the 1980’s, a new generation joined the Hogan family business.  Carl’s sons, Carl Jr., David and Brian each worked closely alongside their father, learning the business and adopting the core values of the Hogan service tradition.  Today, working together, they each specialize and lead various aspects of the Hogan operation. From a one-truck, local delivery service their Grandfather began, the Hogan brothers now lead a full-service, multi-faceted transportation company operating throughout all of North America. The Hogan family of companies includes:

Today, the Hogan tradition continues…a tradition of unparalleled, personalized service to clients, utilizing first-class equipment and advanced technology.   Hogan is an award winning, recognized leader in our industry, but most important, remains a reliable, trusted business partner to the clients we serve.

At the forefront of it all, the Hogan brothers remain dedicated to an over-riding commitment to customer satisfaction – a commitment that has been the foundation of their family’s success for nearly 100 years.  Carl Jr., David and Brian Hogan are proud of their heritage and welcome the opportunity to serve you - with distinction - now and in the future.

At Hogan, we’re “Large Enough to Serve – Yet Small Enough to Care”.
